Our narrative began in November 2023. While we first connected online, our first meeting in person was unforgettable. Veronica, deeply immersed in The Crown at the time, spent the evening mourning Princess Diana with a passion usually reserved for close family. Despite the tragedy of 1997 taking center stage on date one, Andrew knew immediately that he had found a connection unlike any other.

We quickly realized that our lives were better shared. We built a home together in Dallas and dedicated ourselves to merging our worlds, embarking on a transcontinental quest for Andrew to meet Veronica’s family across two countries. We successfully completed that journey in 2025, though we now joke that we spend more time in the air than on the ground.

By late summer 2025, it became a running joke that everyone was aware of our impending engagement except for us. This suspicion was confirmed when Andrew’s mother, Carol, hosted a magnificent "end of summer" party that felt suspiciously like a celebration in waiting.

And it was. Yet, amidst the festivities, we found a moment of quiet escape. On August 24th, just steps away from the party, Andrew proposed. There was no audience and no photographer, just the two of us, the moonlight, and the crickets. It was a private promise made in the midst of a celebration, and it was perfect.
